When I was little, my family would travel south to Austin to see my (maternal) grandparents. We'd visit for the weekend and then return home to Duluth Sunday night. As we left my grandparents' home, Mom would get all sniffly and teary-eyed. I never really understood it at all.
Now, as an adult, I'm starting to. Now when I leave after visiting my parents, I get all sniffly and teary-eyed. Sigh. It doesn't really bother me, but it's not a great feeling either. I thought about it all day long today while at work. I have come to no great insight. It is what it is.

About an hour ago, I was looking for directions ( thought I had saved) on how to replace a tube in the toilet tank. My (unsuccessful) search led me to the utilitly ('junk') drawer in the kitchen. I spent the next 20-25 minutes dropping the toilet task and cleaning out and organizing said drawer. I spent the next 5 minutes reflecting that maybe I should move. Just up stakes and light out for the territories (to coin a phrase). Again, no insights...just feelings.
