Janet Leigh / Who Novel / Monday

Janet Leigh died this morning. I will admit I've only seen her in 3 movies (The Fog, Halloween H2O, and, of course, Psycho), but I still feel a little sad. I've always thought she was absolutely brilliant in Psycho. I have never seen the original Manchurian Candidate; I may have to pick that up sometime. I do have John Carpenter's The Fog, so I watched that tonight as sort of a little tribute.

Finished the latest Dr Who novel, The Tomorrow Windows this weekend. Really, really liked it. How nice to have a comic novel after the last several dreary dreadfully serious ones. I'll bet the author, Jonathan Morris, had a fun time writing this one. They really need to do this kind of one-off story more often...I am so glad they are finally over that god-awful Sabbath storyline. Morris says he modeled this story after Douglas Adams' work; I am very glad he didn't go all-out over the top type humor Adams is know for. Just a very good and funny story.

Monday again. Back to school after a seemingly too short and too quick weekend. On the bright side, September is over, so all downhill to December and Winter Break. September drags on so. It, January, and March are the 3 longest months in the school year in my mind.

Wasn't very good company for M on ride home this evening. Was so tired, mentally and physically. Still surprised I got anything (chores, correcting) done tonight.
