Headed up to Jas's parents' house on the lake for Independence Day. We tooled around on the Sea-Doos for a bit. I am determined to take Steef out on one when we go up together in a few weeks. He's said he doesn't care to ride on one, but oh, he's going...
Came back in early evening so Steef and I could go watch fireworks. We walked along the street in front of St. Anthony Main, which had been closed off for that very reason. Masses of people, and such a nice night for it.
We found a suitable viewing spot on the Stone Arch Bridge alongside the rest of Minneapolis. You'd think being upriver just a few meters from the 35W bridge that collapsed last summer would give people second thoughts about crowding another bridge...guess not!
Fireworks were brilliant and beautiful. Some made me remember being a kid and running around Grandma & Grandpa T's driveway with sparklers and then going out to see fireworks on Devil's Lake.
