Did some running around yesterday. Since I now live in the city proper, I have to get familiar with the area and explore the various nooks & crannies.
As Steef put it, we "checked out the charming boutiques of the Northeast neighborhood Arts District." This included a nice furniture consignment shop, a used vinyl-record store (pretty slim inventory), and a 'mid-century modern' furniture gallery full of overpriced, overlarge tables and sofas (although there was an overpriced and overlarge credenza that sort of caught my eye).
Today we visited Pine Tree Apple Orchard with his parents. I picked out a sugar-free Apple Pie for us and Steef just had to have a carmeled apple.
Unusually chilly for mid-October. Hope it is not an omen of the approaching winter.
