Some Assembly Required (episode 1)

A couple of Fridays ago, I decided to put together the Doctor Who Tardis Playset that Steef gave me for Christmas (such a cool, cool, cool! present). Here is the entire gory story:

1. First step was to get all the pieces and fiddly bits out of the box. That alone took me a good 30 minutes....everything was twisty-tied or taped down, but good. Then I spent a few minutes having to translate the directions from British to American.


2. Once I sussed that all out, I was underway! Everything seemed to fit together just right..which is good; I always had such a struggle putting models together when I was little. Thank God there was no glue needed for this project! Here's the lower platform and outer doors up:

3. Now the upper platform is in place. A few of the panels on the upper platform actually lift up, so that the Doctor Action Figure can do....um, Tardis maintenance, I suppose:
