Queer Cinema 6

Saturday watched Torch Song Trilogy (1988). A classic. My all-time favorite "gay" movie.

I can remember in the spring of 1989 Shane coming down to visit me in Hendricks one weekend and we decided to drive down to Sioux Falls to see it. Don't remember why exactly we changed our minds and ended up going to Pet Sematary instead.

Couple years later we ended up renting Torch Song one night when we lived together in Duluth. It's been my favorite ever since.

(Spoiler) I still cannot watch scene of Alan's death. Always fast forward through that part.

Also still get teary-eyed at the very end when Arnold is cradling the "mementos" of his loved ones. It's a beautiful scene.
