Sunday Thoughts, More

Batgirl called this afternoon. Nice to talk to her. Must get down to Florida one day soon to see her. If I could figure out a way to easily get to Christina also, it would be a sweet trip. Of course they each had to live at nearly opposite ends of the state.

Started the book Stonewall by David Carter. Gives a history and backstory of the Stonewall Riots and how it was the catalyst for the modern Gay Rights Movement. Still only on the second chapter. It is setting the stage, giving a bit of backstory. It's pretty good, not too academic or dry.

V. hot here today. Thought it would rain again, but cleared right up. Kind of want to go out, gettng cabin fever. How exciting can nightlife be on a Sunday night???

We lead very different lives, and not in the way you're thinking I mean. I have everything I can do to get away from people for a while so I can have time to myself, while you're seeking out people to spend time with. I've been trapped in a family ploy to keep me from working on my novel (this is sarcasm, which I'm not sure you will understand). My woman has been sick since before I went to Bemidji, so I feel I should spend time with her even when she says it's okay if I don't. I know she's bored and tired of being sick, so I like to keep her company. At the same time, I have other things I need to get done and feel guilty when I leave her.

Then there's Dad. He's mangaed to schedule appointments he wants me to come to for everyday other than Monday and Thursday. That way he can see me every blessed day of the week.

Then there's my brother who I'm trying to mend a relationship with. He wants to see movies, fix things around the house. I volunteer to help because I think it'll be good for us. And it has been, only he hasn't found friends here yet so I'm it. Anything he wants to do he does with me or our mother.

Dear old mom. If she could she'd see me every day of the week as well. She's been fairly busy, but I did see her five of the last eight days. Also she has enlisted me to paint and to pack and to help her move. I'm going to opt out of packing, as I feel everyone should have to pack their own selves when moving.

And of course there are friends and cousins and so on and so on. "It's summer. You must not have anything to do. Aren't you bored? Come over and help us with (blank)."

NEver ending list of people to see...

I think I'm going crazy!
